This is THE dive bar of Melbourne as far as I'm concerned. From the swinging lamps to the sparkler machines, the fun staff to the huge pizza slices. If I'm coming to Melbourne and want a drink, I'm coming to Heartbreaker. It's busy enough to have a chat, but not so packed that you can't move, truly one of Melbourne's gems.

I loved this bar and can't understand the handful of recent negative reviews. It looks rough around the edges at first, but that's just part of the charm of the place. The staff and everyone else inside were super friendly and it really felt like a place where anyone would be welcome. The drinks were great and they have tons of specials and events pretty much every day of the week. Super cheap drinks by Melbourne standards and the pizza is good too. One of the best bars I found in town.

Had an absolute blast of a time, bonnie, dana, danny were the best very welcoming and nice to our entire group. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a unique and good night out with warming company

Quite possibly the best bartenders in the southern hemisphere. Absolutely great vibes, I’d recommend going at 5 -7 when they have their great happy hour prices and free pool. Have had many a great nights here, everyone is up for a chat and the music is always rocking. Pizza is banging too.

First time at Heartbreaker. I’m very familiar with the bar scene as a born and bred Melbournian but MANAGER DANA made our groups experience next level and defined THE vibe. She rocks and we will be back. Dana was so present, boots to the ground proactive, accommodating and professional (at 1am on a Thursday morning mind you!).

Great spot for chill vibes on a Wednesday late night. Dana was a champion manager that went above and beyond in terms of being accommodating professional and caring for our group. Thank you, me and friends will be back!!

Was relatively empty when we came. The bar staff were conversational and nice. The vibes were cool. Got a slice of pizza and didn't expect to get half a damn pizza, the slice was huge (and delicious). The only downfall was trying to find the bathroom for the first time, a few drinks down! Not the end of the world though, let's blame those three drinks ahaha
